A 1:6 scale model of a the Russian VSS "Vintorez" sniper rifle, with carrying case. A background on the rifle itself can be found here: [link]
About the project: The goal was to replicate in detail, down to disassembly and storage, one VSS sniper rifle and storage case. I was informed that SPETSNAZ operatives had a special case to store the rifle, and also contained two rather obscure scopes than the commonly seen PSO-1 scope. Each item would be replicated in detail.
Carrying case has two working flip latches and has padded foam for the following contents:
Scopes securely attach to the rifle receiver using a pin, as clamping them to the rails is not feasible in 1:6 scale.
========================================= Built using Magic: the Gathering cards, 110lb cardstock, plastic top loader card protectors, and paper clips.
please tell me you used nothing but common cards for this ;-; the nerd in me almost cries every time I see someone using magic cards for this. If they were all land cards then no worries LOL. Aside from that it's a gorgeously done model and the fact that everything is interchangeable makes it exceptional. <3
If I told you I used Rancors, Dark Rituals and Lightning Bolts, would you sleep easy? I actually used anything that was unplayable like Centaur Veteran, Abjure and Chimney Imps (I don't discriminate rarity. A bad rare is worth less than a good common). Lands are actually playable, so I don't use those.
I suppose Rancors would make good guns considering their tough hide XD I can see your logic on it. Lands are easily replaceable but also easily playable so I can't complain on it beyond this lol
